Introduction

The internet opened up communications between individuals in a way that was never seen before in history. Today communities meet and discuss anything and everything with virtual ease. There are many types of communities that tie people together, and there are many technologies that enable different types of community interactions possible. Yet, there are still major constraints that block true communications between like-minded groups even with all this global opportunity.

The Fuzzy.One Localisation Approach

Localisation has three layers, and these are geophysical, geosocial and language.

Geophysical

The geophysical approach is split between three levels; Global, National and Local.

Global location is a generic level, and it is where the person's location is secondary to the context of the connection. For instance, car part suppliers for specialist items do no need to be located nationally or locally, and they can be in another country. The same for interest groups that meet to discuss topics they share in common (See Geosocial). Global level physical issues also include supply chain subjects such as air and sea travel.

The national level is where national issues are either where people living in the same country or the subject matter is national such as taxation and laws. National level physical issues include main transportation sectors such as rail, road, sea, waterways and air. 3PL is a key player at the national level.

The Local-level is where closeness is key. The same city or state where an individual and community can meet frequently can discuss issues focused on their location, such as local transport, and where language is the same (See language). Retail is a key player at the local level.

Geosocial

Geosocial is where individuals and groups are either interested in the same subject matter such as cars, movies, MMPORG’s and such. Geosocial also includes people that are part of the same group, such as a religion, a culture, a heritage and a language (See language).

Language

Language is the main barrier between every group, irrespective of their physical location. Currently, English is the adopted international language, but there are many countries where many people do not speak English, or their control over the language is rudimentary. For these individuals, access to large information is restricted due to the language barrier.

Language is local, national, global and geosocial in nature. For instance, the Chinese community in the USA speaks Chinese as well as English. With religion, whilst some religions rituals are in an original language, it does not mean that every one that is part of that religion speaks the language of their rituals. With this in mind, those who speak the ritual language will always be able to converse with one another irrespective of where they live.

The Localisation Matrix

When creating an internet community that will meet 100% of the world's users with equality, it was key for Fuzzy. One to create a platform that enables everyone to communicate in their preferred language.

This is the core concept at the base of our Q&A and community pages. Everyone that registers to Fuzzy. One may do so in their own language. The platform will create an English version if the original language is not English. This will allow everyone to communicate directly to others in their own language and indirectly with the English version rather than make the English version the baseline for communications, Fuzzy. One is making the users language the baseline.

The localisation matrix allows for geophysical, geosocial and language to interact at the baseline level, providing a harmonious and easy to use communications experience for everyone.

In the practical application, the Fuzzy. One Q&A enables people living anywhere in the world to communicate amongst each other in their own language. Ask questions at any level and receive responses in their own language or in English to establish a fast and accurate response.

The end of Babel

The story of the tower of Babel shows us that communications are key to success. It is not just about speaking in the same language; and it is about speaking in a way that everyone understands. This is why Fuzzy. One has added another layer of communications ease into the platform. On top of the language UX, we have added a Question UX. This is because many people find it hard to articulate the question in a way that will provide the correct response.

Fuzzy. One integrates a modal approach, where there are steps to asking teh question. These steps are easy and fast and actually speed up the asking and answering process. What Fuzzy. One Q&A will provide is the following:

The question page will be automatically presented in the language the user selected when registering to the site. The user may select English or may select any language from the 44 most spoken languages (we will add more over time)

These languages include:

Step 1: Select the level: Global, National, Local

Step 2a: If global, select the question type: What, Where, When, Why, Who, How. (This enables the system to narrow down the search to similar questions)

Step 2b: If National, select the country from a list of countries. (This can be preset in the user preferences, and the user can create up to 3 presets)

Step 2c: If local, select the town/city from a list of towns/cities in that country. (This can be preset in the user preferences, and the user can create up to 5 presets)

Step 3: Select the urgency

Step 4: Ask the question (The system will first search through the entire DB for similar questions, if it does not find one, then it will post the question).

Summing Up

Knowing how to ask the question is key to receiving the correct answer. However, knowing how to ask the question without translating it into English is even more important as this will relieve the user from having to waste time thinking about the correct translation. Fuzzy. One recognizes that speed and accuracy can only be reached when we mitigate all the language and question barriers for everyone.
